We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will assist with a wide range of construction activities, ensuring projects progress smoothly and safely. Duties
- Assist skilled tradespeople with tasks such as roofing, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, carpentry, plastering, welding, fabrication, and construction painting
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and scaffolding safely and efficiently to support daily construction activities
- Prepare sites by cleaning debris, setting up materials, and organizing work areas for optimal workflow
- Follow schematics and blueprints to help with structural assembly and installations
- Support the installation of roofing systems, plumbing lines, electrical wiring, and masonry elements as directed
- Help with the fabrication of materials on-site or in the workshop to meet project specifications
- Maintain safety protocols at all times by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction or related fields is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and basic construction techniques
- Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, electrical systems, welding, masonry, plastering, carpentry or fabrication is a plus
- Ability to read schematics or blueprints is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards safety and quality standards
