Trosnant Lodge Surgery are looking to recruit a new Medical Receptionist / Care Navigator / Administrator as an addition to their existing team, to work 16-24 hours per week, plus overtime. Previous Medical Reception and Administration experience and a flexible approach to working hours is preferred, but considerations will be taken for the right candidate.
The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, be professional at all times and have the flexibility to adapt to all aspects of the role. I.T. skills are essential and previous experience of clinical systems, especially EMIS, would be advantageous, although is not essential, as full training will be given.
The ability to work well under pressure is essential.
Our opening hours range from 8am – 6.30pm Monday to Friday and cover will be required for periods of leave and/or absence during these hours.

Receptionist
Job Details: Job Title: Care Navigator / Administrator
Reports to: Practice Manager and Senior Receptionists
Key purpose of the job:
To act as a care navigator to the Practice population, welcoming patients and providing services to patients including appointment booking, relaying test results, dealing with prescriptions, as well as undertaking admin tasks to support the Practice.
To summarise incoming patient medical records and to add clinical codes to medical records from hospital letters and correspondence.
Other duties include:
- Deal with requests for GP home visits
- Ensure appropriate data is recorded in the patients notes in a timely and accurate manner
- Deal with prescription requests from patients, consulting the prescription clerk and/or GP’s as appropriate.
- Process mail on a daily basis
- Retrieve and file patients notes
- Undertake admin tasks as required to support the admin team.
- On occasion chaperone patients examinations
- Making up new patients notes as they arrive in the surgery

Key Skills
- Good customer service skills.

- Good computer skills (previous clinical system use is desired, but not essential)
