We're looking for an exceptional dental receptionist to be the face of our practice. This is a key role for someone who takes pride in efficiency, professionalism and being the friendly, welcoming first point of contact for our patients.
About the role:
As our receptionist, you'll be responsible for:
- Greeting patients warmly and professionally, in person and on the phone
- Managing our appointment book efficiently to maximise patient care and practice performance
- Handling patient queries, complaints and feedback with tact and good judgement
- Ensuring the smooth running of the practice through excellent organisation and communication
- Managing NHS and private payments, reconciliations and financial reporting accurately
- Coordinating labs, referrals, stock control and other key external relationships
- Supporting our practice manager and clinical team with business administration and problem-solving
About you:
We're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in dental reception or a similar fast-paced customer-facing healthcare role
- Supremely organised, efficient and attentive to detail
- Confident with payment handling, reporting and reconciliation
- An excellent communicator who remains professional and friendly under pressure
- Skilled at juggling competing priorities and solving problems quickly
- Punctual, presentable and prepared - you set the tone for our practice
- Eager to contribute to a well-run, high-performance practice
About the practice:
We are a busy mixed NHS and private practice in Ingleby Barwick, Stockton-on-Tees. We believe in delivering high-quality care efficiently, with a focus on continual improvement. We're looking for a receptionist who shares those values and wants to play a key part in our practice's success.
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:45am – 5:15pm, Friday 8:45am – 4:15pm (36.5 hours per week)
Pay: £13.00 – £14.50 per hour depending on experience
