Business Manager – Dispute Resolution
We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Business Manager to join our Dispute Resolution department.
This is a highly visible role where you'll work alongside the Head of Department, Partners and Business Services leaders to shape strategy, drive performance and help the department achieve its ambitions. If you enjoy solving complex challenges, influencing senior stakeholders and making a tangible impact, this could be the perfect opportunity.
The opportunity
As Business Manager, you'll help the department grow by turning strategic priorities into practical plans that support sustainable growth, strong financial performance and the continued development of our people. You'll work across workforce planning, talent development and engagement initiatives, helping to create an environment where colleagues can build skills, deepen expertise and achieve their potential.
You'll also play a key role in helping the department create lasting impact. Working closely with finance, business development and legal teams, you'll use insight, data and commercial thinking to support decision-making, improve operational performance and ensure we continue to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients in increasingly complex and fast-moving markets.
Success in this role depends on your ability to make every voice heard. You'll bring people together, build trusted relationships and encourage open, honest communication across a wide range of stakeholders. Whether leading change initiatives, supporting engagement activities or facilitating collaboration between teams, you'll help create an inclusive environment where ideas are valued and people can do their best work.
What you'll be doing
You'll lead and influence across a broad portfolio of activity, including:
- Driving departmental financial performance, budgeting and profitability initiatives.
- Supporting workforce planning, engagement, talent development and lateral hiring activity.
- Partnering with Business Development and leadership teams to deliver departmental growth plans and client experience initiatives.
- Championing innovation, digital enablement, change programmes and continuous improvement.
- Acting as a trusted operational partner and leadership proxy where required.
What you'll bring
You'll be commercially astute, strategically minded and comfortable operating in a high-performing professional services environment. Experience of business planning, organisational development, change management and stakeholder engagement will be highly valued. Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys working collaboratively, taking ownership and helping others succeed.
