Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled/multi skilled trades person or camper/caravan technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling new camper conversions and maintaining equipment and components to ensure safety, functionality, and customer satisfaction. Duties
- Interpret technical schematics and diagrams to carry out repairs and assembly tasks accurately.
- Perform maintenance and repair on camper units, including mechanical and electrical components.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs efficiently.
- Conduct equipment assembly, ensuring all parts are fitted correctly according to specifications.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements promptly.
- Assist with heavy lifting of camper parts or equipment safely, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes and addressing client queries professionally.
- Carry out routine inspections to identify potential faults or maintenance needs proactively.
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency during operations.
- Work with a multi cultural team with the common goal of succeeding.
Requirements
- Proven experience with carpentry, minor electric installations, preferably within the camper/caravan building industry.
- Good understanding of technical diagrams, and assembly instructions.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and chop saw's safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for mechanical and electrical components.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of daily tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail during repairs and inspections.
- Good customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Physical fitness suitable for manual work involving standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
Pay: £13.50-£17.50 per hour
