Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Heat Pump Installer team, where you'll be at the forefront of sustainable heating solutions! The team should be at least 2 engineers and preferably a 3rd person/apprentice. In this role, you'll lead the installation of energy-efficient air source heat pump systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will help transform homes and businesses into more comfortable, eco-friendly spaces. The main area of focus for this side of the business is the North West of England, so ideally you will live within that area.
Responsibilities
- Install heat pump systems according to manufacturer specifications, schematics, and safety standards. We use the latest software to develop clear concise packages for our installers and customers
- Work under our MCS accreditation to install air source heat pumps in mainly residential settings for private customers
- Follow our site surveys and installation plans for each installation
- Commission the systems inline with manufacturer instructions and guidance to ensure optimal efficiency
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure precise installation procedures
- Preferably be proficient in service and maintenance of air source heat pumps (NOT ESSENTIAL - training can be provided)
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate installation schedules and share technical knowledge
- Attend manufacturer training days/workshops
- Maintain detailed documentation for each installation as per MCS requirements
Skills
- Must have your own van, tools, equipment, qualifications and insurance
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems and components
- Experience reading and interpreting schematics, heat loss documents and technical manuals
- Demonstrated leadership skills to guide team efforts and ensure quality standards are met
- Proficiency in service and repair of heat pumps desired but not essential
- Knowledge of plumbing systems connected and required for air source heat pumps
- Ability to work effectively in physically demanding environments requiring construction skills
- Excellent workmanship using the best materials to give the best finish to the job
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
