- 5-Day Week: Operations run 5 days per week, scheduled Monday to Saturday.
- Flexible Rest Day: Choose your fixed weekday off, with Sundays always off.
- Monthly HQ Duty: One of your scheduled days off per month must be worked to manage and dispose of waste at HQ.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Diagnostics: Execute comprehensive car and van inspections utilizing technical manuals and diagnostic software to isolate faults rapidly.
- Precision Maintenance: Perform core preventative tasks including fluid management, brake servicing, oil changes, and timing belts.
- Mechanical Repairs: Replace faulty components across engine, steering, suspension, and braking systems using specialized tools and assembly techniques.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Analyze mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics to ensure highly accurate electrical and mechanical repairs.
- Rigorous Documentation: Maintain precise, compliant records of all completed maintenance, diagnostic findings, and parts utilized per dispatch.
- Client Relations: Deliver exceptional customer service by translating complex technical processes into clear, professional client updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3, IMI Level 3, or an equivalent recognized automotive qualification.
- Driving Requirements: Valid driver’s licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Insurance Criteria: Must be 25 years of age or older for company vehicle insurance purposes.
- Technical Literacy: Deep automotive expertise with a proven ability to interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical data.
- Tool Proficiency: Mastery of modern diagnostic scanners, diverse hand tools, power tools, and component assembly techniques.
- Industry Experience: Solid background in light vehicle (car and LCV) workshop environments or mobile repair operations.
- Safety Leadership: Active commitment to garage and roadside safety standards, including hazard mitigation and hazardous waste disposal.
- Field Autonomy: Superior troubleshooting skills with a proactive, resourceful approach to working independently on-site.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and verbal skills to foster trust and build lasting customer relationships.
Remuneration & Benefits
- Base Salary: Competitive base pay (dependent on experience).
