The Opportunity
As an Account Director, you'll be responsible for growing and developing relationships within our existing customer base, identifying opportunities to introduce additional products and services that help our customers achieve their goals.
This is a consultative role where success comes from understanding customers' challenges, acting as a trusted advisor, and helping them unlock greater value from their investment in Tribal.
You'll regularly engage with senior stakeholders, lead strategic account reviews, and work closely with Marketing, Product, Operations and Sales teams to drive customer success, retention, and revenue growth.
The role includes customer visits across your territory, with travel typically required around one day per week.
What You'll Be Doing:
Building trusted partnerships with education customers and becoming their go-to advisor.
Driving account growth through upselling and cross-selling opportunities across the Tribal portfolio.
Leading regular customer meetings and strategic account reviews.
Identifying ways customers can maximise value from the EBS platform.
Collaborating with Marketing and Operations teams to generate pipeline and support growth campaigns.
Managing and maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and forecast.
Supporting customer retention by proactively addressing risks and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
Representing customer feedback internally to influence product development and future solutions.
Keeping up to date with sector trends and identifying new opportunities within the education market.
Working closely with the wider sales team on bids, proposals, customer events and business development activities.
Acting as a proud ambassador for Tribal at industry events and conferences.
What We're Looking For:
You'll be a relationship-led sales professional who enjoys working consultatively with customers and delivering measurable outcomes.
You'll likely have:
Experience in a sales, account management, or business development role within the education sector.
Knowledge of Further Education (FE), Higher Education (HE), Work-Based Learning (WBL), or vocational training environments.
Strong commercial and consultative selling skills.
A track record of growing customer accounts and achieving revenue targets.
The ability to build credibility and influence with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience developing account plans, managing sales pipelines, and producing accurate forecasts.
Bonus Points If You Have:
Experience selling software, SaaS, or technology solutions.
Knowledge of Student Information Systems (SIS) or student management platforms.
A strong understanding of the wider education technology market.
