Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the Kitchen, in our Country Pub .
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, great cooking experience, and a commitment to delivering great, albeit uncomplicated, home cooked food and an amazing Sunday Lunch. As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and lead on all food operations in the Pub. You'll write all our menus in this great Pub, building on what's already good & improving on it.

Responsibilities
- Lead on all kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food preparation
- Develop menus for regular trading, specials, events & associated activities
- Oversee food production, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
- Lead daily kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold hygiene standards at all times
- Fostering a positive environment throughout the Pub.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor food costs and optimise utilisation of ingredients without compromising quality
- Maintain a proactive approach to problem-solving and adapt to changing operational needs
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a kitchen environment
- Have strong personal values- demonstrating kindness, positivity & reliability- & able to work in a small Pub team.
- Extensive food production and preparation skills with a strong focus on quality control
- Deep understanding of food safety standards and regulations in the hospitality industry
- Strong cooking skills with an eye for detail in presentation
- Previous restaurant experience demonstrating adaptability in fast-paced settings
- Knowledge of hospitality operations including serving procedures and guest service excellence
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining composure under pressure
- Exceptional organisational skills coupled with creative flair in menu development

Pay: £37,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
