· Liaise with clients, planning authorities, Lead Local Flood Authorities, the Environment Agency, water companies and wider design teams.
· Manage project scope, budgets, programmes, resourcing, fees and commercial performance from enquiry through delivery and close-out.
· Coordinate technical inputs, lead quality reviews and mentor engineers and graduates through practical technical support.
Project delivery
· Lead projects from feasibility and planning through detailed design and construction, including fee proposals, delivery and close-out.
· Respond to consultee comments, support the discharge of planning conditions and coordinate Section 104 and Section 106 adoption requirements.
· Review layouts, levels, ground information, infiltration testing, topographical data and utility constraints to identify risks and practical design opportunities.
· Support site inspections, construction queries and coordination with contractors where required.
Required experience
· A degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering or a related discipline.
· Strong working knowledge of UK flood-risk, drainage and SuDS policy, guidance and industry standards.
· Experience preparing and reviewing planning and detailed-design submissions, including responses to consultee comments and planning conditions.
