About the Role
You'll support candidates undertaking Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) within Health & Social Care, guiding them from registration through to certification.
You'll carry out workplace observations, professional discussions, assessment planning and learner reviews while ensuring an exceptional learner experience.

Responsibilities
- Assess candidates undertaking Health & Social Care SVQs.
- Carry out workplace observations across Scotland.
- Conduct professional discussions and learner reviews.
- Develop assessment plans and agree achievable targets with learners.
- Provide constructive, high-quality feedback.
- Maintain accurate learner records in line with awarding body requirements.
- Work alongside our Internal Verification team to maintain the highest quality standards.
- Build positive relationships with learners and employers.
Who We're Looking For
You'll ideally have:
- Current occupational experience within Health & Social Care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for developing others.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and online systems.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants who already hold:
- L&D9DI (or an equivalent Assessor qualification).
- L&D11 (or an equivalent Internal Verifier qualification).
- Experience assessing Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs).

If you've built a successful career within Health & Social Care as a Senior Carer, Team Leader, Deputy Manager, Service Manager or another leadership role, we'd still love to hear from you.

- L&D9DI (or an equivalent Assessor qualification).
- L&D11 (or an equivalent Internal Verifier qualification).

Essential Requirements
- Experience working within Health & Social Care.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to your own vehicle.
- Willingness to travel throughout Scotland.
- A genuine passion for supporting others to develop.
Desirable
- Previous assessor experience.
- Previous Internal Verification experience.
- L&D9DI (or equivalent Assessor qualification).
- L&D11 (or equivalent Internal Verifier qualification).
