Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pot Wash to join our busy kitchen team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organised environment, ensuring that all kitchenware and utensils are hygienic and ready for use. The ideal candidate will be reliable, efficient, and have a keen eye for cleanliness. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided. Duties
- Responsible for thoroughly washing pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods.
- Ensure all items are sanitised and stored correctly after cleaning.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required, supporting the kitchen team during busy periods.
- Maintain cleanliness of the pot wash area, including sinks, work surfaces, and surrounding floors.
- Support the overall organisation of the kitchen by managing dishware flow efficiently.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold hygiene standards across the kitchen environment.
Skills
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards and safety procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak times.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in cleaning tasks.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and the ability to work as part of a team.
