Technical Buyer
Are you a proactive procurement professional with experience in a technical or engineering-led manufacturing environment? Your expertise in sourcing mechanical components, reading technical drawings, and negotiating with suppliers could be the perfect fit for this rewarding role.
Technical Buyer Responsibilities:
This position will involve, but will not be limited to:
- Managing the procurement of mechanical components, composites, or marine parts to support production needs and business goals
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers to improve quality, delivery, and cost efficiency
- Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate sourcing and quality standards
- Negotiating prices, lead times, and contractual terms to achieve optimal value
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering and production to align procurement strategies
- Monitoring supplier performance and resolving supply chain issues promptly
- Using ERP systems, preferably SAP, to manage purchase orders, tracking, and inventory data
