We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Duty Manager to join our team and help maintain our high standards.
Role Overview
As a Duty Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the hotel, bar, and restaurant. You will support the management team ensuring smooth business operations, providing excellent customer service, and leading the team to deliver outstanding guest experiences. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management team in overseeing daily operations, including reception, housekeeping, food & beverage, and guest services.
- Assist in managing and motivating a team to ensure exceptional service standards are maintained.
- Oversee the bar and restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food, drink, and customer service.
- Handle guest enquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, licensing laws, and other hotel regulations.
- Assist in stock taking and ordering.
- Oversee events and functions, ensuring seamless coordination and execution.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel, bar, and restaurant.
- Step in to cover various roles within the business as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hospitality management or supervisory role in a hotel, bar, or restaurant setting (essential)
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the hospitality industry.
- Basic financial acumen and experience with budgeting, stock control, or revenue management is advantageous.
- A strong local knowledge of Richmond is preferable.
