FT Recruitment are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented VNA Driver to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) forklifts to efficiently load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Your expertise in equipment handling and mechanical knowledge will ensure smooth operations, accurate shipping and receiving processes, and the maintenance of a safe working environment. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate VNA forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to maintain optimal forklift performance
- Handle materials with precision, ensuring proper stacking, storage, and retrieval in tight aisle spaces
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments against documentation
- Conduct heavy lifting as needed to move pallets or large items safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse to promote safety and efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience operating VNA forklifts or similar narrow aisle equipment in a warehouse setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory control and documentation
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform physical tasks regularly throughout shifts
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques, including load securing and stacking procedures
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipment quantities
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire
