Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Workers to provide support and assistance to individuals with learning disabilities & autism in a residential setting. The role involves fostering a safe, nurturing environment while promoting independence and well-being. Duties
- Offer personalised support to residents, assisting with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration where appropriate.
- Foster a safe and welcoming environment by maintaining a clean, organised, and secure living space for residents.
- Encourage social engagement and participation in activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
- Monitor residents’ health and behaviour, reporting any concerns to senior staff promptly.
- Support residents in developing life skills to enhance their independence.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, incidents, and any relevant observations.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to coordinate care plans effectively.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care or support environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with residents.
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts, including evenings, weekends, or overnight as required.
- Basic understanding of safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations within a residential setting.
- A genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals and enhancing their quality of life.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
