Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bustling restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive experience in food service environments. This role involves managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests while ensuring smooth operational flow.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate front of house staff, including servers, hosts, and baristas, to deliver outstanding customer service
- Oversee food preparation and serving processes to ensure quality and efficiency
- Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow to optimise the dining experience
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all front of house areas
- Lead staff training programmes focused on hospitality excellence, food safety, and customer engagement
- Handle guest complaints professionally and promptly to resolve issues effectively
- Assist with organising special events or promotions to enhance guest satisfaction and business growth
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication between front and back of house operations
- Monitor stock levels of service supplies and order replenishments as needed
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment
- Extensive restaurant experience, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and general hospitality duties
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes
- Previous experience in a culinary or kitchen setting is advantageous
- Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills
- Experience in hotel or barista roles is desirable but not essential
- Exceptional communication skills with a professional approach to customer service
