Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, hardworking, organised, punctual and proactive Retail Supervisor with a strong work ethic to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent supervision, customer service, till work, cash handling, cash reconciliation/cashing up, key holder responsibilities, maintaining the sales floor, stock replenishment, and supporting daily store operations.
This role is within a fast paced retail environment, management experience and flexibility is essential, you must be avaliable to work until 11pm.
Applications without MANAGEMENT experience will be automatically rejected.
Duties
- Taking responsibility for the store in the absence of the Store Manager and/or Assistant Manager
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their enquiries in a professional manner
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and restocking shelves as needed
- Provide product information and upselling suggestions to maximise sales opportunities
- Operate the cash register efficiently, handling transactions accurately and maintaining phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone
- Ensure a tidy and accessible environment
- Assist in visual displays and promotional activities to enhance store presentation
- Manage time effectively to ensure all duties are completed within scheduled shifts
- Maintain excellent communication with team members to ensure smooth store operations
Skills
- Fluency in English
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts
- Organisational skills to manage stock levels and maintain store appearance
- Time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods
- Upselling techniques to promote products and increase sales volume at the tills
- Merchandising knowledge to create appealing product displays
- Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating organisational skills and adaptability
This role will play a vital part in ensuring our customers enjoy a positive shopping experience while supporting the overall success of the store.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £13.01 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 30 per week
