Front of House Team Member

Front of House Team Member — up to £13.00 per hour + monthly tips depending on age and experience
Derwent Walker is looking for a friendly, reliable and hard-working Front of House Team Member to join our restaurant and bar team in Keswick.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people, has a positive attitude, and is happy to get stuck in with a busy hospitality team. Experience is helpful, but the main things we are looking for are reliability, confidence, good communication, and a willingness to learn.
We are looking for either one full-time team member or a couple of part-time team members.
Main duties include:
- Welcoming customers and providing friendly service
- Running food and drinks to tables
- Taking customer orders
- Clearing and resetting tables
- Helping keep the restaurant, bar and service areas clean and tidy
- Washing glasses and occasional dishwashing when needed
- Supporting the bar and floor team during busy service
- Helping create a positive customer experience
We are looking for someone who is:
- Aged 18 or over
- Friendly, polite and confident with customers
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Happy working in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to help with a variety of tasks
- Available to work evenings and weekends
Experience:
Previous hospitality, restaurant, bar or customer service experience would be useful, but it is not essential as training can be provided for the right person.
Pay:
£11.50–£13.00 per hour depending on age and experience
Pay will meet the correct National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage rates.
In addition to hourly pay, team members usually receive an average of around £2–£3 per hour in tips, paid monthly. Tips vary depending on how busy the business is and are shared fairly between the team.
