We have an exciting opportunity to join Thomas Henshaw Court in Southport as Deputy Manager, where you'll play a key role in leading the care team, supporting the Home Manager and ensuring our residents continue to receive exceptional, person-centred care.

A role where you can make a real impact
As Deputy Manager, you'll be a visible and supportive leader within the home. You'll work closely with the Home Manager while leading, coaching and developing colleagues to create a positive environment for both residents and the wider team.
You'll have responsibility for the quality of care delivered within the home and will deputise for the Home Manager when required.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, supporting and coaching the care team
- Ensuring consistently high standards of person-centred care
- Supporting and developing Team Leaders and care colleagues
- Reviewing and auditing care plans to ensure they reflect residents' individual needs
- Supporting staff rotas and ensuring the right skills and staffing levels are in place
- Overseeing medication processes and regular medication audits
- Supporting safeguarding, compliance and CQC standards
- Managing performance and helping colleagues reach their potential
- Supporting new resident admissions and building positive relationships with families
- Working closely with the Home Manager to continually improve the quality of the home
The role is hands-on as well as managerial, giving you the opportunity to remain close to residents and the care team while developing your leadership experience.
Who we're looking for
You could already be working as a Deputy Manager, or you may be a confident and experienced Care Team Leader or Senior Care professional who is ready to take the next step.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about delivering high-quality care for older people
- A confident and supportive leader
- Experienced in managing or supervising people within a care environment
- Knowledgeable about safeguarding and CQC standards
- Organised, reliable and comfortable taking responsibility
- Customer-focused with excellent attention to detail
- Able to remain calm, adaptable and effective in a busy care environment

Thomas Henshaw Court is based in Southport, making this an attractive opportunity for candidates living locally or commuting from surrounding areas.
The 8am - 4pm daytime shifts also offer a clear and consistent working pattern, with a two-week rolling rota so you can plan your working weeks in advance.
