Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively environment where hospitality skills are valued and developed. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous, but full training will be provided to the right candidate. All positions are paid, including internships.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards
- Take orders from customers accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to food safety regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to enhance their experience
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently, including food safety protocols
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables when required
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or food service environments is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Effective time management to ensure prompt service during peak hours
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers
- A personable attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
