Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Coffee Shop Assistant to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, preparing high-quality beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, pastries, and light snacks in accordance with food safety standards.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including cleaning equipment and surfaces regularly.
- Manage stock levels, restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system and provide correct change.
- Uphold food safety regulations at all times, ensuring hygiene standards are met or exceeded.
- Assist with organising the shop environment to create an inviting atmosphere for customers.
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure prompt service is maintained.
Experience
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar food service role is desirable. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations is advantageous.
- Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy is preferred.
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
- 15-20 hours for week.
