Internal Sales Executive – Shooting Sports

Are you passionate about shooting sports?
We are looking for an enthusiastic Internal Sales Executive to join one of the UK's leading shooting sports distributors.
For this role, we are specifically looking for someone with either previous firearms/shooting industry experience OR a genuine personal involvement and interest in shooting sports.
You might already work within a gun shop, shooting ground, firearms distributor or the wider shooting industry. Alternatively, you may currently work in sales or customer service but shoot recreationally and have good knowledge of rifles, shotguns, airguns, optics, clay shooting, target shooting, game shooting or hunting.
You don't need to know everything – we will provide full product training – but you do need to have a genuine interest in shooting sports and be keen to develop your knowledge.
The Role
You'll be part of our Internal Sales team, looking after trade customers throughout the UK and working with an extensive portfolio of leading shooting sports brands.
This isn't just an order-processing role. We want someone who enjoys talking to customers, building relationships and proactively generating sales.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Speaking with gun shops, shooting grounds and other trade customers
- Handling incoming telephone and email enquiries
- Processing customer orders
- Proactively calling customers to generate sales
- Following up sales opportunities and promotions
- Providing product information and advice
- Building strong relationships with existing customers
- Supporting new product and brand launches
- General sales administration and account management
- Working with the wider team to achieve sales targets
Who We're Looking For
You'll ideally have experience in sales, customer service or a similar customer-facing role and be confident speaking with customers on the telephone.
Most importantly, we want someone who understands and enjoys the shooting sports market.
Previous firearms industry experience would be a major advantage, but it isn't essential.
We would be equally interested in someone who is an active shooter with good product knowledge and wants the opportunity to turn that interest into a career within the industry.
You'll need to be:
- Confident and comfortable speaking with customers
- Proactive and commercially minded
- Organised and accurate
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and computer systems
- Enthusiastic about learning new products
- A good communicator and team player
- Motivated by sales and delivering great customer service
