Ipswich Road Pharmacy is looking for an enthusiastic pharmacist to join our community pharmacy in Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has recently passed the GPhC registration assessment, is awaiting registration, or has recently joined the GPhC register. We are looking for someone who wants to develop their career in community pharmacy, NHS clinical services and private healthcare services.
About the role
You will work as the Responsible Pharmacist and help provide a safe, efficient and patient-focused pharmacy service. The role has a strong focus on NHS and private clinical services alongside the safe supply of medicines.
You will be supported by an experienced pharmacy and dispensing team, with structured induction and ongoing professional support.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out professional and clinical checking of prescriptions.
- Ensure the safe and effective supply of medicines.
- Provide clear advice and counselling to patients.
- Deliver NHS services including Pharmacy First, NMS and other commissioned services.
- Support and develop vaccination and private healthcare services.
- Maintain high professional, legal and patient-safety standards.
- Work closely with the pharmacy team and support staff development.
- Follow procedures, GPhC standards and pharmacy SOPs.
- Build positive relationships with patients, GP practices and other healthcare professionals.
- Help develop the pharmacy through excellent patient care and service delivery.
What we are looking for
- GPhC-registered pharmacist; or
- Passed the 2026 GPhC registration assessment and eligible to register before commencing employment.
- Applications from newly qualified pharmacists are particularly welcomed.
- Good communication and patient-care skills.
- Professional, reliable and supportive approach.
- Willingness to develop NHS and private clinical-service skills.
- Ability to work effectively with the wider pharmacy team.
- Confidence in taking responsibility for the safe operation of the pharmacy.

Monday to Friday: 9:00 am–6:00 pm Saturday: 9:00 am–1:00 pm Sunday: Closed
Pay: £56,056.00-£61,152.00 per year
