The Open Bakery is a local family business. The family have been baking in Brighton since 1997. We are a truly authentic bakery, honouring traditions and customs from bakeries across Europe. We prepare everything fresh on the day for our two shops, we also run baking classes throughout the week and weekend.
This position is part time, 2-3 days a week.
Shifts will mostly be in our Kemptown Shop, however, cover at our Queen's Park may also be required.
Shifts are normally 8 hours long, and can start as early as 6.30am. The closing shift is normally finished by 6.30pm. This is very much a customer facing role, and helping the Manager with the daily operations of the shop.
Pay will be dependent on level of coffee skills. Coffee making is just a small but important part of the role. Training can be given to the right candidate.
Requirements:
-minimum 1 year working in a similar hospitality role
-able to give efficient and excellent customer serve even at busy times
-be friendly and approachable
-able to work well in a team dynamic
-passion for food
We are open Monday - Saturday, closed on bank holiday Mondays. Flexiability throughout the week would be preferable
