Responsibilities
- Running Day to Day transport schedules to meet delivery deadlines while optimising costs
- Coordinate with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to ensure seamless logistics operations
- Manage routing and scheduling using Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Word
- Monitor vehicle utilisation, maintenance schedules, and driver availability to maximise efficiency
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards across all transportation activities
- Analyse logistical data to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client enquiries promptly and professionally
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and related documentation using IT systems
Requirements
- Proven experience in Genral Haulage
- Strong driving skills with a valid driving licence recognised in the UK
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and specialised logistics software
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good IT literacy with the ability to adapt to new systems quickly
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
