About the role
We are looking for a Team Leader to join our friendly team at our Industrial Laundry site based in Merton, SW London.
You will be part of a large team whose responsibility it is to make sure our customers across the hospitality sector receive outstanding levels of customer service, by ensuring that they receive on time, in full deliveries from us and that all work is completed to the highest quality and hygiene standards.
You will be in charge during your shift of your own dedicated section within the factory, supervising a team of 25 to 50 employees.
What you will do;
- Hands on taking full responsibility of running the shift under guidance of an area manager.
- Drive performances.
- Monitor breakdowns, prevent them and re-organise the work and a team in timely manner.
- Identify improvements and implement dedicated action plans.
- Understand the requirement of the day and determine how to maximize OTIF.
- Plan and sequence the factory workflow.
- Control stock levels and work in progress, communicate with other departments.
Our ideal Candidate will have;
- A good understanding of English
- A good level of physical fitness and be comfortable with working on their feet for long periods
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment
- A positive can-do attitude and ability to work well as part of a team
- Experience of working within a factory environment would be beneficial, but not essential
- Supervisory experience (Essential)
- Degree (Essential) in a STEM Subject (Preferred)
