IPM Group is seeking professional, reliable and proactive Site Security Officers to provide continuous 24/7 security coverage at a manufacturing facility in NN7.
This is a critical role within a regulated manufacturing environment, requiring officers to maintain a strong security presence, control access, protect assets and critical infrastructure, and ensure the safety of staff, visitors and contractors at all times.
The role operates on a one-officer-per-shift model, combining static access control duties with internal and external patrols.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible, professional security presence across the site
- Control and monitor pedestrian and vehicle access points
- Verify staff, visitors, contractors and deliveries in line with site procedures
- Conduct regular internal and external patrols, including perimeter inspections
- Monitor CCTV systems and respond appropriately to alarms or suspicious activity
- Protect critical infrastructure, plant areas and restricted zones
- Accurately complete incident reports, patrol logs and handover records
- Challenge unauthorised persons in a calm, lawful and professional manner
- Respond to incidents, emergencies and safety concerns in accordance with site instructions
- Liaise with site management, control room and emergency services when required
- Maintain high standards of personal conduct, appearance and communication
Essential Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to work 12-hour day and night shifts on a rotating pattern
- Strong observational, communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to follow detailed site instructions and security procedures
- Professional, calm and confident approach to access control and conflict situations
- Good written skills for accurate reporting
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team
Additional Role Requirements
- Minimal facial hair is preferred, as the role operates within a regulated manufacturing environment where PPE, hygiene and safety requirements apply
- Willingness to comply with site grooming and PPE standards at all times
Vetting & Compliance
- An Enhanced DBS check is required for role (Will be provided if suitable candidate does not have)
- Candidates must be willing to undergo additional site vetting as required
Desirable (But Not Essential)
- Previous experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical or regulated environments
- CCTV monitoring experience
- Gatehouse or access-control experience
- First Aid or Emergency Response training
