Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of a diverse range of dishes, ensuring consistency and quality.

- Oversee food production processes, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.
- Support the head chef in menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen area.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and uphold operational standards.
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Assist in managing stock levels, minimise waste, and optimise utilisation of ingredients.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Supervising experience with strong team management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary trends.
- Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure during peak hours.
- Strong leadership qualities with an emphasis on training and motivating staff.
- Previous experience in food production, restaurant operations, or hospitality is highly desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required by the business schedule.
