About the Role:
As a Technical Business Analyst at Guide Dogs, you’ll safeguard Guide Dogs’ operational continuity, ensuring future transformation decisions can proceed safely. The Business Analyst will be an expert in analysing complex systems, processes, and data flows, with a strong ability to identify cross-system dependencies, assess change impacts, and evaluate operational risk. You'll be highly skilled at translating technical and operational complexity into clear, governance-ready documentation and models, while confidently challenging assumptions and operating effectively in complex, undocumented environments. Our Technical Business Analyst's play a huge part in ensuring everything we do enables us to deliver on our purpose and exceed expectations.
This is a hybrid role, combining both remote and office-based working. The successful candidate will be required to work from and have the ability to access our Leamington Spa, London, and Reading offices as business needs require. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document end-to-end income, consent, and supporter and volunteer data flows that underpin operational continuity.
- Establish and maintain a structured, governed inventory of key systems, including ownership, lifecycle state, integrations, and data domains.
- Identify undocumented integration behaviour that could introduce compliance or continuity risk.
- Analyse and assess proposed changes for impact on the current systems.
You'll have a structured and analytical approach to understanding complex systems, processes, and data flows. You'll enjoy working in fast-paced, evolving environments, with a dedicated focus on change impact analysis, risk management, and governance-ready documentation, whilst being committed to delivering clarity, accuracy, and business resilience. You'll act with integrity and honesty in everything you do.
Skills and Competencies:
- Demonstrable experience documenting complex, legacy system estates with multiple integrations and undocumented dependencies.
- Understanding of operational service environments and how live system stability is maintained.
- Strong analytical and systems-thinking capability, with the ability to understand and articulate complex cross-system dependencies.
- High attention to detail with disciplined documentation control and version management.
- Formal training or certification in Business Analysis (e.g. BCS, IIBA) or equivalent applied experience.
