Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter/Kitchen Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and installation of kitchen units and other carpentry-related projects.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble kitchen units, cabinetry, and other bespoke carpentry items according to project specifications
- Install fitted kitchens, including worktops, appliances, and fixtures, ensuring precise measurements and secure fittings
- Operate hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers with accuracy and safety
- Use power tools including drills, routers, and sanders to complete tasks efficiently
- Carry out joinery tasks involving cutting, shaping, and fitting wood components
- Perform roofing repairs or installations as required within project scope
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during installation processes
- Undertake construction painting where necessary to prepare surfaces for finishing
- Assist with plumbing or masonry tasks if needed for integrated project requirements
- Carry out electrical work or experience where applicable in kitchen fitting projects
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment adhering to health and safety regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, and fabrication techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction and fitting works
- Strong knowledge of roofing, plumbing, masonry, electrical systems is advantageous
- Attention to detail to ensure precise fitting and finishing standards are met
