Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Night Porter to join our team.
As the face of the hotel during the night, you will ensure the safety, security, and comfort of our guests while carrying out a range of operational and cleaning duties.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, and can remain calm under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome late-arriving guests and assist with check-ins and check-outs.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service throughout the night.
- Conduct regular security patrols of the hotel and report any issues.
- Ensure the reception, bar area and public spaces remain clean and tidy.
- Set up conference rooms or breakfast areas where required.
- Assist with guest requests, including luggage assistance and providing local information.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to guest enquiries.
- Complete night audit procedures and ensure accurate records are maintained.
- Follow health and safety procedures, including emergency protocols.
- Support the housekeeping and maintenance teams with overnight tasks where appropriate.
What We're Looking For:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A professional, friendly, and approachable manner.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Comfortable working overnight shifts.
- Basic computer skills.
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or security is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
