Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our nursery team and ensure a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and parents. This role is essential in fostering the growth and development of children while managing daily operations within the nursery.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote early childhood development.
- Lead, mentor, and support nursery staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns.
- Manage budgets, resources, and supplies to ensure the nursery runs efficiently.
- Organise staff training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in childcare.
- Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery setting.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and incidents.
Requirements
- Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education settings.
- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of managing teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of child development theories and practices relevant to nursery settings.
- Ability to create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children.
- A relevant qualification in early childhood education or childcare is desirable but not mandatory.
- Passion for working with children and commitment to their wellbeing and development.
