Thornbridge Hall is a Grade II listed stately home nestled amongst the rolling hills of the Peak District. The Hall and its formal gardens are being lovingly restored and is now recognised as one of the most beautiful, quirky stately homes in the U.K.
The ideal job for a young entrepreneur learning their craft, someone passionate about expressing their garden glee, and someone eager to be a push our plant sales in an honest and estate-grown direction. From taking and planning sales, to guiding guests and producing beautiful estate-grown plants for the 12 acres of gardens, we hope to find a new member of our close-knit team who will thrive looking toward each new season in the Peak District.

Approximate daily hours: 9:15am – 4:45pm subject to weather and growing seasons,
16-24 Hours per week

The role includes:
Engaging actively with tourists, members who visit weekly, as well as plant minded patrons with equal bubbling enthusiasm.
Presenting our local artist’s (Partner Sales) work in their best possible degree.
Showing exemplary care for our plants, patrons and partners – Being the person to spark plant care questions with our gardening team or welcoming conversation with guests before the guests themselves.
Working from your initiative and (soon to be) plant know-how to work up to planning your working day.
Ensuring you are working with the team to set SMART targets concisely in team huddles.
Maintaining a presentable work area.
Day-to-day cleaning, opening and/or closing of sales and gardens. Day-to-day tasks may vary depending on the time of year but will always include tasks such as: Watering, weeding, and pruning; Sweeping, stocking, litter picking; And engaging with patrons and other departments.
What we're looking for:
Positive, can-do attitude and personability.
A good level of fitness is required to complete the necessary tasks for this role. You are required to bend, pull, push, stoop and stand for long periods of time.
Attention to detail.
Applicants need to have the ability to work in all weathers
A driving license is preferable as we are not sited near public transport.
Time management.
