Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Window Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing windows and doors . This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a broad range of construction skills, including carpentry, fabrication, and the use of power tools. The ideal applicant will have experience working with diverse materials and possess a strong understanding of schematics and technical drawings. This position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to develop their expertise within the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Fit windows accurately according to project specifications and schematics
- Remove old or damaged windows safely and efficiently
- Install new windows ensuring proper sealing, insulation, and alignment
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to complete installations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to high standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in window fitting or related construction roles such as carpentry, or masonry
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in installation processes
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights
- Relevant construction certifications or qualifications are preferred but not essential
