Overview
Personal Assistant (female) wanted. I am a wheelchair user (with Cerebral Palsy) looking for a reliable, professional female PA to join my team. Duties include: Personal Care, Lunch/Dinners, daily routines, light house tasks, appointments, and getting out and about. My current PA is leaving towards the end of September, so I am looking to start as soon as possible for a smoot handover. Because of the nature of my physical disability, I need someone who is willing to understand my individual needs. Someone who is patient, outgoing, adaptable, and commited to providing high-quality person-centred care. You will need excellent spoken and written English, and a full UK driving licence. And your own car, that is suitable for carrying my manual wheelchair. Pay and hours are flexible, and training can be provided. Duties
- Assist with daily personal care routines including bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans
- Support mobility needs, including safe transfers and manoeuvring in a wheelchair
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health status
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the client’s living environment
- Communicate effectively with the client to promote independence and emotional wellbeing
- Record relevant observations and report any concerns to healthcare professionals or family members
- Use IT devices to update care records and communicate with relevant parties as required
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently, ensuring a safe environment at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to implement personalised support strategies
- Driving licence is preferred for mobility assistance or errands
- Fluency in English with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with the client and their family
- Strong IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Compassionate nature with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Respectful attitude towards privacy, dignity, and cultural differences
