ASM Metal Recycling is looking for motivated and reliable Yard Operatives to join our busy and friendly team. If you enjoy working outdoors, being part of a hands on environment, and take pride in keeping a workplace safe and well organised, we would love to hear from you.
Experience in the recycling, waste management, construction, logistics, agricultural, engineering, or industrial sectors would be an advantage. Mechanical knowledge or practical experience working with machinery, vehicles, or equipment is also highly desirable, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
What you will be doing
Your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning and preparing scrap metal for grading and sale
- Maintaining the yard to a high standard of cleanliness, organisation, and safety
- Assisting customers with unloading vehicles of all sizes, from cars and vans through to articulated lorries
- Supporting the yard team with the smooth running of daily operations
- Working safely and following company procedures at all times

- Reliable, hardworking, and enjoys physical work

- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Friendly and confident when dealing with customers
- Keen to learn and develop new skills
- Experienced in a similar role or industry, although candidates with transferable practical skills are also encouraged to apply
- Someone with mechanical knowledge or practical engineering skills would have an advantage
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
7.00 am to 5.00 pm
Saturday
7.00 am to 12.00 pm

Due to our location, your own transport is essential.
Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Dunstable LU6 2BT or be planning to relocate before starting work.
