Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and courteous Hotel Receptionist to join our team during the night shift from 22:30 to 07:30. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest services, ensuring a welcoming and efficient check-in and check-out process. This role is vital in maintaining the high standards of hospitality our hotel is renowned for, especially during overnight hours when attention to detail and guest comfort are paramount. Multilingual abilities and previous hotel experience are highly desirable to assist a diverse clientele effectively.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and during their stay, ensuring a positive first impression
- Manage guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently using the hotel management system
- Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy, adhering to excellent phone etiquette
- Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience
- Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately while maintaining organised records
- Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and organised reception area that reflects the hotel's standards of hospitality
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared and facilities are operational during overnight hours
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Strong communication skills with the ability to speak multiple languages or be bilingual is advantageous
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with guests from diverse backgrounds
- Organised with an eye for detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently during overnight shifts
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle guest concerns with tact and diplomacy
- Flexibility to work night shifts from 22:30 to 07:30, including weekends and public holidays if required
- A friendly demeanour combined with a proactive attitude towards delivering outstanding guest service
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
