Creative Learning Teaching Assistant – Gaming & Alternative Provision - AREA DERBY
Are you a creative, resilient and passionate individual who wants to make a genuine difference to young people who may have struggled within mainstream education?
An exciting opportunity is available at a gaming-focused alternative education setting, supporting children who are taking time away from mainstream school. This is a unique environment where gaming and creativity are used to engage students and help them develop their confidence, behaviour and love of learning.
The role is 35 hours per week, with lessons lasting approximately 45 minutes, followed by 10-minute breaks.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Creative, enthusiastic and ready to think outside the box
- Resilient and able to remain calm and positive in challenging situations
- Passionate about making a difference to young people
- Confident building positive relationships with students
- Understanding of and willing to support children with behavioural challenges, disengagement from education and SEND
- Able to encourage students who may have lost confidence in their ability to learn
- Energetic, adaptable and willing to get involved
- Passionate about using gaming and creative approaches to engage young people
This is not your typical classroom role. It’s an opportunity for someone who wants to do things differently, connect with young people in a unique setting and help them re-engage with education.
If you’re someone who is resilient, creative, passionate and ready to make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.
