Carry out planned lubrication activities across plant equipment, including greasing, oil level checks, oil sampling and oil changes to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Perform calibration and replacement of pH probes and calibrate turbidity instruments to maintain accurate process monitoring (full training provided).
Record and update maintenance data accurately in line with ISO 14001 environmental standards.
Support basic maintenance activities within rail yards, including points lubrication, adjustments and component replacement.
Diagnose and repair damaged or missing lubrication points and install new systems where required.
Install, inspect and replace automatic greasing systems as part of a preventative maintenance programme.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records to support compliance and operational excellence.
Work independently, managing your own workload and priorities with minimal supervision.
Occasionally, assist the Fitters on urgent, time sensitive, tasks when required.
Utilise basic IT systems and email to record activities and communicate effectively with colleagues.
Demonstrate flexibility to support occasional weekend working when business needs require.
A practical, hands-on individual with a strong focus on safety, quality and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities and use initiative with minimal supervision.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across operational teams.
Basic IT literacy, including confidence using email and company software to manage records, submit timesheets and complete administrative tasks.
A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
Willingness to complete a 4x4 driving training course to safely navigate quarry and pit environments.
Flexible and reliable approach, with a willingness to support occasional weekend working when required.
A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and undertaking training.
Previous experience in lubrication, mechanical maintenance, fixed plant, quarrying, mining, manufacturing or a heavy industrial environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
