Care Assistant (Nights) - Extra Care Scheme

Hours: 10:00pm to 8:00am (Night Shifts)
Contract: [Full-Time / Part-Time
Salary: £12.80 - £13.00 per hour

We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Care Assistants to join our friendly team within our Extra Care Housing Scheme. This role provides an opportunity to support older adults and vulnerable individuals to maintain their independence while living within their own homes.
Working night shifts from 10:00pm to 8:00am, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of our residents throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing person-centred care and support to residents.
- Assisting with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support where required.
- Carrying out regular welfare checks and responding to emergency calls.
- Supporting residents with medication in line with policies and procedures.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns to senior staff.
- Promoting independence, dignity, choice, and respect at all times.
- Ensuring residents feel safe, secure, and supported throughout the night.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals when needed.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is caring, compassionate, and patient.
- Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is reliable and able to work independently during night shifts.
- Has a genuine passion for supporting people to live independently.
- Previous care experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Holds or is willing to work towards a Care Certificate and relevant care qualifications.
