At Christopher Carter Vets, we are seeking an enthusiastic person to join our team and to train as a Student Veterinary Nurse on a full-time basis.
Our team is made up of 2 full-time and 5 part-time vets, along with 7 dedicated nurses (5 full-time and 2 part-time nurses). We foster a supportive and collaborative environment, where every team member plays a vital role in delivering the highest standards of animal care.

As a Student Veterinary Nurse, you will be supported and encouraged to develop both your clinical and non-clinical skills while working towards qualification as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
You’ll be an integral part of the practice team, supporting patient care under the guidance of Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of nursing duties while progressing through your training programme and developing confidence in your day-to-day practice.
Working Pattern
Full time role of 8 hour shifts working between 8.00 - 7.00 pm with time given to attend college (one day a week). Weekend rota of approximately 1:4 Saturday mornings with TOIL. No Out of hours.
You are a motivated and committed individual who is keen to learn, develop and build a career in veterinary nursing.
We’re looking for a friendly and motivated person who enjoys working as part of a team, who wants to learn and to deliver high standards of care. You will need to have strong communication skills and be proactive in your learning, reflecting on your work and to continuously improve.
