Amber Valley Dental Practice is looking for an experienced Dental Hygienist / Therapist to join our friendly, well-established independent dental practice in Swanwick, Alfreton.
This is a part-time, self-employed role for Thursdays and Fridays, with an established patient list and a supportive clinical team.

The practice is easily accessible from Alfreton, Derby, Nottingham, Mansfield and Chesterfield.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a motivated and professional Dental Hygienist / Therapist with excellent communication skills and a caring approach to patients.
The successful candidate will be confident in providing preventive care, periodontal support, oral hygiene advice, and treatment under both referral and direct access arrangements. For candidates qualified as Dental Therapists, the role may also include restorative treatment such as fillings, in line with GDC scope of practice and appropriate prescription/referral arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional mechanical plaque removal and preventive care
Educate and motivate patients to maintain excellent oral hygiene
Support patients with periodontal care and maintenance
Carry out restorative treatment, including fillings, where appropriately qualified as a Dental Therapist
Work under referral and direct access arrangements where appropriate
Maintain accurate clinical records
Work closely with dentists, nurses and the wider team
Follow all cross-infection and decontamination protocols
Essential Requirements
GDC registration
UK clinical experience
Valid indemnity cover
Enhanced DBS certificate
Up-to-date CPD
Hepatitis B immunisation status
Right to work in the UK
