Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, along with excellent leadership and team management skills. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dishes while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. Your culinary expertise will play a vital role in delivering an outstanding dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the menu specifications.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Create new menu items and seasonal specials that reflect current culinary trends.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and operated safely.
Skills
- Proven supervisory experience in a kitchen environment.
- Strong background in food production and preparation techniques.
- Excellent team management abilities, fostering a positive work atmosphere.
- Proficient cooking skills with a passion for culinary arts.
- Extensive kitchen experience, preferably in a restaurant setting.
- Demonstrated culinary experience with knowledge of various cuisines.
- Understanding of hospitality principles and customer service excellence.
- Strong leadership qualities, inspiring and motivating team members.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
