Responsibilities
- Act as a primary point of contact for students, offering guidance on academic pathways, resources, and personal development
- Assist students in navigating university or college systems, including registration, scheduling, and accessing support services
- Provide encouragement and motivation to help students overcome challenges and stay committed to their educational journey
- Organize and facilitate workshops or informational sessions on study skills, time management, and campus resources
- Collaborate with faculty and support staff to ensure students receive comprehensive assistance tailored to their needs
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, progress, and support plans to track engagement and outcomes
- Promote a welcoming environment that fosters open communication, inclusivity, and student empowerment
Experience
- Prior experience in teaching or educational support roles is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and connect with diverse student populations
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and follow-up actions
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
- Passion for education, student development, and helping others succeed
- Familiarity with academic advising or counseling is a plus but not required
