About the Role
We are looking for a versatile and experienced Level 3 or above qualified Early Years professional to join our close-knit team in a senior role as Deputy Manager/Baby Room Leader, working 42 hours a week between the hours of 8am-6pm Monday - Friday.
Ideally a minimum of two years’ experience in a senior Early Years position, you will work within the Baby Room, leading the room, plus as our Deputy Manager you will support the Nursery Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about Early Years, enjoys being part of a team and is confident taking responsibility for the smooth and effective running of a busy nursery baby room and setting.
You’ll play an important role in supporting our team, building positive relationships with families and ensuring every child receives the care, support and learning opportunities they deserve.
What You’ll Be Doing
● Supporting and leading the staff team predominately in the baby room, promoting a positive, inclusive and supportive working environment. Design and deliver age-appropriate activities for babies and toddlers under 2, supporting their early development in line with the EYFS. Monitor and track children’s progress
● Building warm, trusting and professional relationships with children and their families.
● Ensuring the nursery environment is safe, welcoming, inclusive and responsive to each child’s individual needs and development.
● Supporting the team to deliver high-quality learning and development opportunities in line with the EYFS framework.
● Supporting staff with planning and ensuring children’s individual development is appropriately supported.
● Helping to maintain a safe, happy and homely environment where children can thrive.
What We’re Looking For
● Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
● Ideally, at least two years’ experience in a senior Early Years position.
● Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
● Confident communication and leadership skills. Have a good command of the English language, both spoken and written
● Good IT skills
● A genuine passion for working with and supporting young children.
● A positive, proactive and can-do attitude.
● A warm, nurturing personality with the confidence to lead and support others.
● Strong organisational and administrative skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
● An Enhanced DBS check, we will arrange this.
● Current First Aid and Safeguarding training, we can arrange this.
