Are you a skilled and passionate individual who loves working on agricultural machinery? We have a fantastic opportunity for an Agricultural Technician to join our team at the Charing depot in Kent. As an Agricultural Technician, you’ll play a vital role in the maintenance and repair of farm machinery. Conduct scheduled service maintenance and repairs in your fully equipped mobile van and at our depot, showcasing your expertise in fault-finding and diagnosis on all types of farm machinery. Your attention to detail will be key as you complete pre-delivery inspections and larger intricate jobs.
Crawfords are looking to develop individuals into highly skilled Agricultural Technicians offering excellent customer service and, most importantly, working as a team in ‘Leaving An Impression.’
You’ll be working with some of the most advanced equipment in the industry - tractors, combines, sprayers, balers and more - carrying out diagnostics, repairs, servicing and PDI work both in the workshop and out on farms. This is a role with real autonomy, strong earning potential, and the backing of a respected dealer group.
- What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out scheduled servicing, maintenance and repairs both on-site and in the Workshop
- Fault‑finding and diagnostics across a wide range of agricultural machinery
- Completing pre‑delivery inspections to manufacturer standards
- Using laptop‑based diagnostic systems and iPhone job management tools
- Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and manufacturers
- Representing Crawfords professionally and promoting our service offering
- Attending manufacturer training to stay sharp with the latest technology
- What You Bring
- Proven experience as an Agricultural Technician or similar
- Strong knowledge of tractors, combines, sprayers, balers and modern machinery
- Experience with AGCO products is an advantage (not essential)
- Confident with diagnostics, hydraulics, electrics and CAN‑bus systems
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable using IT systems
