Overview
We’re looking for an experienced hands-on technical leader to take ownership of our workshop activities and subsea trenching systems.
This role is ideal for an experienced Trenching or ROV Superintendent, Senior Technician or Technical Supervisor who wants to transition into a shore-based position while remaining actively involved with the equipment.
You’ll spend your time in the workshop—not behind a desk—working alongside technicians to maintain, troubleshoot, test and improve our subsea trenching systems, ensuring they’re safe, reliable and mobilisation-ready for offshore operations.
This is a genuine opportunity to lead by example, pass on your offshore knowledge and help develop the next generation of technicians.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading day-to-day technical activities within the workshop.
- Working hands-on with subsea trenching systems and associated equipment.
- Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
- Planning and carrying out maintenance, repairs and refurbishment.
- Supporting mobilisation, demobilisation and wet testing.
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring technicians and apprentices.
- Improving equipment reliability and workshop processes.
- Working closely with Engineering, Projects and Offshore Operations to ensure assets are ready for deployment.
About You
You’ll probably have worked as a:
- Trenching Superintendent
- ROV Superintendent
- Senior Subsea Technician
- Technical Supervisor
- Workshop Supervisor
You’ll also have:
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Experience working with offshore subsea equipment.
- A practical, hands-on approach.
- Natural leadership skills and a willingness to mentor others.
- Pride in producing high-quality work.
- A strong safety mindset
Work collaboratively with Engineering, Projects, Offshore Operations and Purchasing to support project delivery
This role demands a proactive individual capable of managing multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and organisation.
Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
