Triton Risk Management has an exciting opportunity for experienced and motivated Rescue Technicians to join our team on a prestigious project in North Yorkshire.
This role is ideal for candidates with a background in the Emergency Services, Armed Forces, or other emergency response environments who thrive in challenging situations and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, security, and professionalism.
As a Rescue Technician, you will form part of a specialist onsite emergency response team responsible for responding to incidents, providing emergency medical support, undertaking rescue operations, and assisting with site security activities. The role includes a pre-planned on-call commitment, shift working, and regular training to maintain operational readiness.
Key ResponsibilitiesEmergency Response & Rescue
- Report immediately to the Team Captain upon activation of an emergency alarm.
- Respond to pre-defined emergency scenarios as part of the onsite rescue team.
- Provide pre-hospital trauma care and emergency medical support during incidents.
- Assist with casualty management and help prevent further injury or loss.
- Deliver an initial emergency response, including firefighting activities where appropriate, until additional resources arrive.
- Attend and actively participate in emergency response training, exercises, and drills.
- Maintain competency in line with the project's training plan and operational requirements.
- Work effectively as part of a shift team to deliver a professional emergency response service.
- Maintain the health, fitness, and wellbeing standards required to perform rescue duties effectively.
Security & Site Safety Duties
- Conduct routine security patrols across the site.
- Monitor and report suspicious activity, security concerns, or unauthorised access.
- Support site access control arrangements when required.
- Respond to security alarms and incidents in accordance with site procedures.
- Assist with site incident management and emergency coordination.
- Work closely with site management and project teams to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
- Promote safe working practices and report hazards, unsafe acts, or concerns to management.
- Participate in daily site tours and operational briefings to maintain awareness of project activities and risks.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Blue Light Service, Armed Forces, or emergency response role.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- A proactive and professional approach to safety and security.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- FREC 3 (or higher).
- Firefighting experience.
- High Risk Confined Space Rescue and Recovery qualification.
- Rope Rescue qualification.
- SIA Security Licence.
- Fire Marshal qualification.
- Experience working on major infrastructure, construction, tunnelling, rail, or industrial projects.
- Instructor or Assessor qualification.
