Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer/Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas and plumbing systems across various commercial and residential sites. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair gas appliances, boilers, and plumbing systems in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform necessary maintenance or repairs
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete various tasks efficiently
- Perform heavy lifting when required, ensuring proper handling of materials and equipment
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and report on any issues requiring further attention
- Assist in the assembly of plumbing fixtures or mechanical components as needed
- Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times during site visits and work activities
- Operate commercial vehicles responsibly when travelling between sites
Experience
- Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or Plumber with a solid understanding of plumbing systems, gas safety regulations, and installation procedures
- Competent in using welding equipment, hand tools, power tools, and carpentry techniques
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to plumbing, gas systems, and general maintenance tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience in commercial driving is desirable but not essential
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to installations and repairs
- Familiarity with assembly processes for plumbing fixtures or mechanical components
